Mandate
ICE has the mandate of developing, promoting and undertaking the provision of adult and continuing education, designed to secure the development and dissemination of various applied sciences and technologies which are required for the enhancement of the rural economy and the efficacious solution of the economic and social problems of Tanzania.
Vision
The vision of the ICE is to see that technologies and knowledge developed at Sokoine University of Agriculture are widely disseminated to potential beneficiaries so as to improve agricultural production and hence contribute to reduction of poverty in the country.
Mission
The mission of ICE is to promote and coordinate the implementation of outreach activities as well as continuing education through multi-disciplinary participatory teams in order to expedite the dissemination of proven technologies.
